Whyckoff Heights Medical Center was seeking to add an IR Cath lab, being on the GC side I was involved with helping our firm's Estimators and Project Managers. Being an Architecture major, but working for two Architects previously, I was well versed in reading construction plans. I was asked to review the construction drawings IE, Architectural, Structural and M.E.P's. After a trip to the site and comparing the photos to the plans I quickly picked up inconsistency's with our Architectural and M.E.P drawings.

Trade Coordination
After finding problems with our existing architectural, pneumatic, mechanical and plumbing systems I was tasked with developing a more comprehensive trade coordination diagram. Using Revit I modeled a 3D drawing. Using the other drawings to make the 3D Model we were able to find all conflicts and notify our sub contractors. This was a good visual example as it also showed conflicts between different systems and how they could be fixed. Using this we were prepared to break ground on phase 1.
Goals
Develop 3D trade coordination model from the construction doc's.
Coordinate and consolidate conflicts with sub contractors & architect.
