My Design 4 class was certainly an interesting semester as we had just transitioned to remote learning just under half way through the semester due to the outbreak of Covid-19. Our project for this class would be a firehouse, located on an open parcel in Islip, Long Island. The goal was to bring a modern and eco-friendly solution, LEED Equivalent, by examining material choices as well as eco-friendly design consideractions to achieve high efficiency. However, the project was still a firehouse and it was integral to keep the iconic firehouse presence in the community. Below is my final presentation, followed by a video walkthrouh the 3D model.
